Thank you so very much for an amazing first week! We nearly have reached the halfway mark and it is all thanks to you!
As you may know, we teased an exclusive illustration made by our flatter and story editor, Tanner Simmons! Here is the awesome piece he made to be printed in the back of the book!
Michelle Carragher’s blog includes instructions on how to create this dragon scale effect in fabric!
“For Sansa’s wedding dress the designer Michele Clapton wanted to have an embroidered band that wrapped around which symbolistically told Sansa’s life from the Tully and Stark beginnings to the entanglement with the Lannisters,” says Michelle, “The dress colour was still very much Sansa Stark and the embroidery had pale golden tones but woven through the story are ripe red pomegranates, the red colour symbolising the growing Lannister influence over her.
I have not watched this series but these costumes are incredible.
Hello everyone! I’m starting the sales of some handmade Itabags to try and make funds in order to help pay off my medical bills (please see my GoFundMe for more details.)
The pattern for these bags was very generously and kindly donated by AlexLynnCrafts on Etsy. I’m not quite at their skill level (as I am a self-taught intermediate level sewer) but their pattern was absolutely wonderful and easy to follow. :)
All bags are made with cotton exteriors and canvas interiors for strength & structural support.
Currently, these are the three bags I have been able to make (but more will come – and hopefully soon.
Prices can be found below and include the shipping price for anywhere in the US. If you live in another country and wish to purchase one, please message me and we can see if it is a possible option.

Hello, my name is Brittany (see me above with my grampa’s dog) and I need help getting surgery.
I have a condition called Neurofibromatosis; there is no currently known cure for this disease. For those who don’t know, NF is a genetic disorder of the nervous system and it can (and generally does) cause tumors to grow on your nerves – these are called neurofibromas. It’s an interesting illness to have, especially since so little is known about it compared to other illnesses. I’ve had doctors have to look up what it is right in front of me before (which… to be honestly, was both shocking and a little frightening. I’m lucky enough that I’ve found some good doctors that know what it is.)
For the full story, please see my GoFundMe page, linked above.
I had hoped it wouldn’t come to this, but seeing as the insurance I have access to and qualify for won’t be helping as much as I’d hoped, I turn to everyone here now.
If I’m honest, the surgery doesn’t scare me as much as the bills do. Knowing that this surgery will help me is wonderful, but knowing I won’t be able to afford it is terrifying. The idea of the medical bills piling up faster than I can pay them is scary. Anyone who has been here before knows what it’s like.
I work for barely more than minimum wage, and knowing I’ll be out of commission for a while puts me back even farther. Medical bills on top of all the life bills (rent, student loans, etc) is… scary.
For a writer, it’s weird for me to not know what words to say, but I hope my story above helps.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this and share it. It means more than I can hope to explain…
I feel like Marie Kondo should be added to the trifecta of public figures like Mr. Rogers and Bob Ross that we collectively consider kindly
like, they don’t know us personally or anything, but you know they want you to succeed, improve, and live your best lives
people just gently trying to guide us into treating others well, and being kind to ourselves, and tidying up
A lot of the “”discourse”“ around her is just barely subverted racism. People who don’t like her often listen to “minimalist” magazines that actually do tell you to live off one one t-shirt and a potted cactus.
The pantheon so far:
Bob Ross - Love yourself even with your mistakes!
Mister Rogers - Love your neighbor!
Marie Kondo - Love the place around you!
Stefán Karl Stefánsson
- Take care of yourself!
Steve Irwin - Be kind to animals!
The Wholesome League
I experienced several feelings while drawing this.

Hello everyone. In order to try and make money to pay for medical expenses, I am starting a series of sales posts.
I apologise that I can only ship to US addresses, especially due to the weight and extra cost of shipping right now.
I hope I can be excused for the higher prices, as I tried to make them as fair as possible. All funds not used toward shipping and packaging expenses will be going toward my upcoming surgery. The story can be found on my GoFundMe page.

If you’re in bed a lot, you might be
lonely. Studies suggest lonely people
spend more time in their beds despite
the fact that they often have trouble
sleeping. This is because chronic
loneliness not only causes insomnia,
it can also make you feel the need to
be in your bed even when you’re
not actually tired. SourceSource 2
the mcelroys look like the least compatible people in the world based on just their appearances alone and it’s the funniest fucking thing to me
like, who knew that some elusive cool uncle who’s probably a trickster god sporting a hawaiian shirt, a goth cowboy who just stepped from a starbucks and is probably keeping the secrets of magic from the public, and an assistant regional manager for Staples who only owns clothes in beige are a) related and b) rule the Internet as reigning funnymen with a less-than-benevolent fist
ok this picture is an important addition that everyone should see.
Aries: At first appears shy, but is actually fiercely protective and outgoing, all they need is to feel comfortable and they’ll come out of their shell. Lots of wrestling and neck kisses, able to unhinge her jaw like a snake. Constantly devouring small animals whole when she thinks you’re not looking.
Taurus: Quirky and fun. Lots of hand holding and tight tight hugs. Can sometimes have difficulty voicing how she feels, and so shows affection through actions rather than words. She only feels comfortable speaking in words she has stolen from other lesser girlfriends. Wants her mouth back.
Gemini: More controlling than some people would like, knows all your casual little kinks, idly plays with your hair. Playful bites. Intense skincare routine, made of porcelain, joints bend backwards. During quiet moments you catch her staring dreamily at you.
Cancer: Big sweaters and warm drinks. Constantly wants attention in small ways. Would prefer to just be in the room with you whenever she can. Wants to play video games with you but her claws make it difficult. Sleepy a lot, especially during winter and rainstorms.
Leo: Always taking pictures with you. Super outgoing, loves to show you off to other people, even when it can be awkward. Can be a little jealous, to the point of exploding into a cloud of sentient mist that only leaves bones behind. Never stops flirting with you.
Virgo: Eager to a fault, she never stops wanting to try new things with you. Impulsive and adventurous. Host to a colony of parasitic invertebrates that feed on knowledge. A knack for fixing things and a wellspring of trivia.
Libra: Charming as all hell, content with a simple, classic relationship. Lots of movie dates and night drives. Corny but sincere. Never sleeps. Confused by electronics. Always wearing the same set of clothes. Makes noises like intense radio static when scared.
Scorpio: Hoodie thief extraordinaire. Tons of inside jokes. You feel like you’ve known her forever. Extremely knowledgeable about poisons. Two sets of eyelids. Asks a lot of questions about your blood. Always concerned for your health.
Ophiuchus: Sarcastic, wise beyond her years. No hair due to the burn scars. Good with her hands. Expert marksman. Handmade prosthetic arm. Wanted for piracy. Able to sleep pretty much anywhere.
Sagittarius: Constantly wrapped in a blanket. The epitome of netflix and chill. Can drink you under the table. A good listener. Overwhelmingly strong. Scars from where manacles were branded to her flesh.
Capricorn: Knows a little bit about just about everything. Witty jokes and gentle roasting. Loves hearing about your interests. Pet falcon that watches you all the time. Every member of her family also has a surprisingly well trained pet falcon and owns the same curved sword.
Aquarius: Competitive and carefree. Encourages you to practice your interests. Bites her lip when she sees you. Infectious smile. Brags about you. Refers to you as an endovertebrate.
Pisces: Loves to make you things. Buys you lots of small presents. Loves just listening to you talk. Bio-luminescent blood. Completely prehensile limbs. Very thoughtful.
It is our duty as feminists to protect and respect women in Hijabs
Now. More. Than. Ever.
Question: if I see someone pull off a Hijab, what should I do? I know there are reasons they are worn so I want to if i should stand in between them and who did this, should i protect them from view somehow, or something else? This has been happening a lot so I feel it’s something everyone needs to know.
Good question! I cannot correctly and effectively answer, as I am a white, non-Muslim person; however, I will reblog in case any of my followers can answer.
I asked my Hijabi friend, so here’s one Hijabi’s answer:
“my opinion is, definitely try cover them or give them something to cover themselves with. And perhaps shoo off the person, without putting oneself in danger! God forbid, if that happened to me, I would like someone to come and comfort me and give me something to cover my hair with and then help me report it to the cops
“
(Followers, if any of you are hijabi and would like to expand on this answer or offer alternatives, please do.)
If u see it happen to 1 of us, pls cover our head + hair with a coat or shawl or any piece of cloth, while hugging us in comfort. Please don’t get hurt by lashing out @ the perpetrators in any way, coz if they dare to do that, they’re probably too far gone in their own hatred to listen to any reason. Much love + Thank You to anyone who supports us.
yes !! everything said here is important af. if you see someone pull off a girl’s hijab immediately cover her hair and provide comfort. don’t talk to the perpetrator but try to get the woman out of there if you can. maybe if you have a scarf on you at the time give it to her so she can wear it until she’s alone and can replace her hijab. please please protect muslim girls because we already had it hard before donald trump became president and now its gonna be worse with people going around thinking their violence and cruelty is justified
for my other white ppl who might have a hard time, it’s my understanding that a hijab is like a major item of clothing, not an accessory like a hat or a scarf. so think abt it more like if someone just ripped someone’s shirt or skirt off. u don’t want to be left there exposed or have to walk home without it.
everyone, even outside America needs to protect our Muslim sisters in these times.
as a man, what would be the best thing to do? should i turn my head and avoid looking at their hair? can i still offer a jacket or something similar?
^I’m hoping someone has an answer islamaphpbia is on the rise in my town and I want to be a good male non Muslim ally
For men, yes please, we would prefer it if you avoided looking at our hair, and if we don’t have something to substitute as a hijab at that moment, anything you could lend us, a jacket, etc, would be very appreciated.
Also, since most girls avoid physical contact with men they’re not related to, please do not hug them, but rather shoo the offender away if you can, or at least escort the girl to a safe place. You can still offer words of encouragement and support. Furthermore, understand that the victim may not be very welcoming towards you because she’ll obviously be shaken, and won’t know where you are coming from. If that’s the case, please still give her something to cover herself (hijab is very important, think of it as someone ripping your shirt off) and stand some distance away until you are sure she’s in safe hands.
Thank you so much for your support, we really appreciate it, god bless all of you.
In the horrible climate we’re currently in, please take note of this.
Reblogging this again for the guy-instructions
